If you will be away from the County on Election Day (whether on a trip, working long hours, or commuting) or are unable to go to the polls because of illness or disability, you may vote by absentee ballot (see the following Web page for more information: Early/Absentee voting).
- You can submit an Absentee Ballot Application for a ballot by-mail up to a year in advance of the election. Ballots are mailed out approximately 45 days before the election.
- The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot by-mail is Oct. 27, 2009.
- In-person absentee voting began Sept. 18, 2009.
- The last day for in-person absentee voting is Oct. 31, 2009.
