What are this year’s critical election dates?

Prince William County Election Dates

Tuesday, November 4, 2014 – General Election for the federal offices of U.S. Senator and House of Representatives. One Virginia Constitutional Amendment on tax exemption for spouses of military members killed in action.

Tuesday, December 23, 2014 – Special Election to fill the vacancy in the office of the Board of County Supervisors Brentsville Magisterial District.

Note that those of us in the Brentsville Magisterial District have a special election just before Christmas.

Are you ready to vote? The deadlines are fast approaching.

  • Last Day to Register to Vote for the November 4, 2014 General Election, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 5pm in-person or 11:59 p.m. on-line (use Virginia DMV DL or ID #).
  • Last Day to request an Absentee Ballot by mail for the November 4, 2014 General Election is Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 5 p.m. (for information, check out Absentee Voting)

Note also that we have another option for absentee voting. That’s Absentee in-person voting. In fact, Absentee in-person has already started (starts 45 days before election day). Interested?
