There is a Senate counterpart to the House’s  H.R.1044 – Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019 (congress.gov). That’s S.386 – Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019. Senator Rand Paul has put the Senate’s bill on hold, but that does not mean the bill will remain blocked. Check out these stories.

Why has Senator Rand Paul blocked the bill? He has his own agenda and his own bill.

Senator Rand Paul is a libertarian. Libertarians tend to like the idea of open borders. So we cannot count on him to properly regulate immigration.

What is most disgusting about this legislation is that the mainstream news media isn’t covering it. The news media in India is doing a better job. That’s means the news media doesn’t want our input.

Congress is just trying to rush a bill and pass it without discussion, amendment, or even debate. They are trying to hide what they are doing.
