“GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!”

“Give me liberty, or give me death!”, lithograph (1876) from the Library of Congress (from here)

“They knew their Trotsky, their Lenin, their Adolph Hitler. What did all of these men say? ‘Give me the children and I will own the nation’s future.’” Sebastian Gorka so paraphrased the methodology of the Nazis and Soviets in taking over Germany and Russia (www.WatchSalemmedia.com, War for America’s Soul: Sacramento, Fall 2019 and Sebastian Gorka: Can the Great Experiment Last? (catsroundtable.com)).

Today in America we are seeing our children fast become sexualized as states and school boards adopt sex education curricula that indoctrinate K-12 students in all acts of sexual perversity as being normal and acceptable. Add to that the confusion of granting “non-discriminatory ‘special rights’” to those students with gender dysphoria or transgenderism and a whole generation of our country’s youth will have their moral fiber and integrity destroyed. So goes our republic!

How is this happening? Might it be because adults who ought to stand for real values run for political offices, but cave to PC (political correctness) and fear standing up for 1. Morality: Marriage designed by God between a man and a woman. Period. 2. Parental rights: it’s the parents who ought to teach their kids about intimate matters sexual, not the schools; 3. Equality: no special privileges to certain groups that impinge on the rights of the rest.

Conservatives, at least in name, gave away the state of Virginia because they failed to name those issues and more, and talk about them during their campaigns. They dare not do the same in the 2020 elections across our nation. Immigration, abortion (women’s health rights with none for the infant!), Second Amendment rights, transgenderism and the whole LGBTQ list…It goes on and on. Liberals have their agenda, though they’re careful not to draw attention to it when electioneering. They make false claims to distract attention from their real intentions. It’s up to conservatives to be vocal, take a stand and raise the issues that are vital to our survival as a nation. If they don’t, our kids and therefore, America, is sunk!

We need to stand together as one body, embracing the values that made America great! The Bible says in II Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, and love and discipline.” Our founding fathers stood for liberty. They were statesmen who put their personal comfort and safety at risk to stand for what they believed and knew was right. They were VERY vocal about it! Their very lives were at stake and some of them died to defend their cause: freedom. Today we need men and women who will take up the cause of true liberty and risk being ‘shot down’ for the sake of our kids and our nation. This could well be our last free election if they don’t!

  1. Tom,
    i’m praying the Supreme Court will overturn the Blaine Amendments to hopefully in time be a path to school vouchers so parents can once again decide what they want taught to their children instead of being brainwashed as what happened as you point out.

    When will we wise up instead of keep repeating the same follies as previous generations.

    Regards and good will blogging.

    PS, i posted a second post on the Blaine Amendments with more information about the upcoming ruling.when it finally is brought up in the Court. There have been various legal maneuvering by lawyers on the issues according to the SCOTUS web sight….

    Last free election??? Jeez, Tom. If you can’t get them to agree you spread some Trumpian fear into the mix?

      @Doug

      Our freedom depends upon where we put the emphasis. If we revere God and in reverence to Him respect each other’s God-given rights, then we will protect each other FROM EACH OTHER. We will seek and elect leaders who protect us FROM EACH OTHER. If we think government exists to satisfy our needs and wants — not to protect our God-given rights — then we will prey upon each other. We will elect leaders and give them the power they demand to subdue our neighbors, not to protect us from each other. These leaders will then use that power to subdue us.

      What goes around comes around.

      It Shoots Further Than He Dreams.
