Abortionists, the pro-choicers, women’s health movement advocates support legalized abortion. To the tune of over 61 million potential Americans, we have sacrificed babies on the altar of abortion at all stages of development since 1973. Doctors, many of whom have revoked licenses and tarnished reputations, continue to kill babies up to the nine-month viable delivery age and legally get away with it. But hear the following case and shudder:

A 22-year-old New Jersey mother took her newborn daughter down a rural road near her home  and doused her with an accelerant, then lit her on fire. When a passerby stopped and asked what she was doing, the woman said she was burning dog refuse. They discovered differently, and the baby was airlifted to a nearby Philadelphia hospital where she died two hours later. The mother, charged with murder, is being held on a half-million dollars bail.

We’re not saying the mother is innocent, but my heart goes out to her. Desperate people do desperate things. She committed a crime–murder. But what about doctors who do essentially the same thing every day and get off scot-free? What’s wrong with this picture?

What about the TV ads that show abused or neglected animals in need of care, food and a loving home? Plaintive music plays in the background as dogs and cats covered with matted fur or fleas and flies look into the camera, begging for attention? Why are there no ads showing the plight of babies in ultrasound photos on their way to the abortion table? Why are animals valued more than human babies?

Animals matter. Don’t get me wrong! I love animals! But human life is more precious because humans are created in God’s image. Yet, we stamp out babies’ lives without a tear while animals usher up great human sympathy and even weeping. Where are our priorities?

Shame on us! We need to vote on November 3 and cast our ballot for pro-life candidates ONLY! Let’s rid our country of the abortion scourge on our national conscience by electing men and women who will vote for LIFE!
