VETERANS DAY 2020

Robespierre often used the expression “enemy of the people” against his enemies (from here (en.wikipedia.org))

As we near the end of the year 2020, we are in the middle of a political battle, and the air is full of angry words. Some of these words remind us of why so many Americans have fought for liberty. Unfortunately, these words, coming from our own countrymen, also warn us that this is a time we once again risk fighting among ourselves.

Consider the beginning of several articles.

Conservatives, beware — the politics of retribution and score-settling are upon you. If you think for a second that your vote to reelect President Donald Trump was interpreted as a ballot cast for the candidate you believe best championed your everyday concerns of life, liberty and the pursuit of justice, former First Lady Michelle Obama begs to differ. According to her and, one might assume, the DNC apparatus, “tens of millions” of you voted for the president even though it meant “supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division.”

Conservatives, beware: The politics of retribution begins now (washingtontimes.com)

In the year leading up to the 2020 election, there was a familiar refrain among President Trump supporters and the president himself. It goes something like this: The Democrats really weren’t after him, they were after his supporters and he was just standing in the way.

What is the Trump Accountability Project (trumpaccountability.net)? Well, here is the web site?

We should welcome in our fellow Americans with whom we differ politically.

But those who took a paycheck from the Trump Administration should not profit from their efforts to tear our democracy apart. The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

How serious is the threat posted by the Trump Accountability Project (trumpaccountability.net)? Hard to know, but it seems this activity has actually been around awhile. Conservative publications are just paying more attention.

Here is stuff from the other side. Most Conservatives don’t seem to realize the origins of this revenge movement

GLAAD has launched a new “Trump Accountability Project,” the nonprofit announced on Thursday. An ongoing effort, it will track the discriminatory and hateful statements and stances of President-elect Donald Trump and others selected, or being considered for, roles in his administration. Though GLAAD is an LGBTQ media advocacy organization, it will catalog not only anti-LGBTQ remarks, but also comments targeting women, immigrants, Muslims and other communities and ideas.

GLAAD’s Trump Accountability Project, which monitors regressive actions on LGBT+ rights taken by the Trump administration, passed its 100th entry to date on April 3, as Housing and Urban Development secretary Ben Carson confirmed LGBT non-discrimination guidance for housing service providers had been axed.

It’s been almost a year to the day since my life – both personally and professionally – changed profoundly. It can only be described as moving from a place of possibility and progress to a nightmare for myself, my family and the LGBTQ community at large.

President Trump Is Trying to Erase the LGBTQ Community (time.com)

With just over a year left in President Donald Trump’s first term, another late-breaking news item barely made waves: The Interior Department — which manages the majority of the federal government’s public lands — deleted “sexual orientation” from its anti-discrimination guidelines, as HuffPost first reported last week. The removal was just the latest in a nearly three-year-long effort to strip mention of LGBTQ people from the executive branch bureaucracy.

Why would the LGBTQ “community” be at the root of this? Well, we can debate that for eternity, but here is the crux of it. The LGBTQ “community” demands that everyone approve of their strange behavior, that our children be taught to approve of their behavior. Conservative Christians, in particular, object to what the LGBTQ “community” wants, and that makes us hateful to the LGBTQ “community”. Since Conservative Christians formed a major part of the Trump coalition, …..

What can we do? If we care for the future of our children and grandchildren, what must we do? We must make use of the liberty those veterans fought for. Instead of returning hate for hate, we must work to preserve our system of government.

What is the most immediate problem? Consider this summary from yesterday’s Mark Levin Show (marklevinshow.com).

On Tuesday’s Mark Levin Show, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has become the George Soros of Big Tech and is using its users’ data for political purposes. The media, including social media, is changing the election narrative from no fraud at all to no evidence of fraud at a major scale. They went from alleging the Trump campaign not having any evidence to the Trump campaign not having enough evidence. Then, the latest lawsuit filing in Pennsylvania is over 100 pages chronicling institutionalized fraud in major Democrat cities. There will never be enough examples of fraud for the media because the media is a fraud.

On his show Mark Levin read portions of Here’s yesterday’s lawsuit by the Trump Campaign in Pennsylvania (PDF) (cdn.donaldjtrump.com). The Introduction is quite readable, here is how it begins.

1. American citizens deserve fair elections. Every legal – not illegal –
vote should be counted. And no government power, be it state or federal, may deny American citizens the right to observe the process by which votes are cast, processed, and tabulated. We must protect our democracy with complete transparency. (continued)

Here’s yesterday’s lawsuit by the Trump Campaign in Pennsylvania (PDF) (cdn.donaldjtrump.com)

The issues are constitutional, and there is already enough evidence that we must take the accusations seriously. Do we want politicians skirting the checks and balances of our system of government and counting the ballots in secret? What kind of politician would do that?

I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this—who will count the votes, and how.

Joseph Stalin (en.wikiquote.org)

We the people need to examine the evidence, both the seriousness of Constitutional violations and the evidence of voter fraud. We need to keep in mind that if officials conducted the vote count in secret then they have had ample opportunity to bury and destroy any evidence of voter fraud. In that cause, the fact they refused to allow a transparent vote count condemns them.

If the news media and Big Tech get in the way, we need to shove them aside. It is our country. We must not allow our elites to decide all by themselves who is the president.

What is the long range problem. We need to get control of the education of our children. Our political leaders are dumbing down the education of our children in important subjects.

  • Civics: Too many now think politics are all about demonstrations, riots, and getting your own way. This is why storefronts were being boarded up before the election.
  • Religion: Multiculturalism is stupid. If all religions are equally true, then logic requires that they all be equally false. Essentially, this is just a sneaky way of making Atheists out of our children.
  • The 3R’s: Too many of our schools cannot do their basic job. Our political leaders, because of the influence of the teachers unions, have created schools that exist for teachers unions instead of students. In the long run, that is not good for anyone except corrupt politicians.

What if Biden wins? Here, Making lemonade (salvageable04.wordpress.com), is a thoughtful post on that.

Fact is that we cannot give up. In particular, we must help each other and not allow ourselves to be divided in fear. We must work together to make lemonade out of lemons. That includes working with new immigrants. If Biden opens the borders and we cannot stop him, then we must take it upon ourselves to teach the new arrivals what has made our country free and prosperous, and it is not Socialism. It is the ideals of Christianity.

As Ephesians 6:10-20 instructs us, we must put on the armor of God stand against those who would do evil. Our Lord constantly tells us to “fear not!” and we must trust Him. History has shown repeatedly that running in fear does not work. Once the tyrannical see that kind of weakness they start behaving like wolves among sheep. Given the opportunity, tyrants slay their opponents and enslave the young.
