Why is politics more difficult than physics? Well, here are several examples from the first days of the Biden Administration.

  • To swell our pride, we deceive others.
  • To elevate ourselves over others, we become indifferent to others.
  • To live out our fantasies, we deceive ourselves.

Deceive Others

The BIG LIE is an effective propaganda technique, but there is such a thing as a lie too big to fool enough people. Such was this lie.

(CNN) Newly sworn in President Joe Biden and his advisers are inheriting no coronavirus vaccine distribution plan to speak of from the Trump administration, sources tell CNN, posing a significant challenge for the new White House. The Biden administration has promised to try to turn the Covid-19 pandemic around and drastically speed up the pace of vaccinating Americans against the virus. But in the immediate hours following Biden being sworn into office on Wednesday, sources with direct knowledge of the new administration’s Covid-related work told CNN one of the biggest shocks that the Biden team had to digest during the transition period was what they saw as a complete lack of a vaccine distribution strategy under former President Donald Trump, even weeks after multiple vaccines were approved for use in the United States. Of course, CNN’s competitors took them to task.

CNN is under fire for publishing an anonymously sourced “scoop” that the Biden administration will have to “build everything from scratch” because there was no Trump plan to distribute coronavirus vaccines, when reality tells a far different story.

Unfortunately, President Biden was part of this lie. Pretending that the Trump administration was not already on track to deliver 100 million vaccinations in 100 days, Biden promised that would deliver 100 vaccinations in his first 100 days.

Indifferent to Others

Once the new administration had no use (apparently in photo ops) for the protection of the National Guardsmen it had requested, they banished thousands of soldiers to a freezing cold parking garage with inadequate facilities. People who care don’t do anything so thoughtless.

Keep in mind that the people in charge did not fix the problem until after the news got into the news media. Tired of the political farce and the mistreatment of their soldiers, the governors of Florida and Texas, recalled their Guardsmen back to their respective states.

We Deceive Ourselves

One of our new president’s executive orders included this betrayal of female athletes.

Joe Biden’s first day in office delivered an incremental victory for transgender athletes seeking to participate as their identified gender in high school and college sports.

Among the flurry of executive orders signed on Wednesday, Biden called on all federal agencies to enforce a US supreme court decision from last year that expanded the definition of sex discrimination to include discrimination based on sexual orientation as well as gender identity – with language that explicitly referenced the arena of high school and college sports.

“Children should be able to learn without worrying about whether they will be denied access to the restroom, the locker room, or school sports,” the directive states, adding that the incoming administration is committed to “prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation”. Think about the lunacy of this. Because it is so obviously unfair for boys to compete in athletics with girls, we have had separate athletic competitions for boys and girls for generations. So, now we are going to let boys compete against girls, even for scholarships, just because the boy says he “feels” like a girl?

If anyone cannot tell the difference between the sexes, they have a problem with the truth. They are most certainly not following “the science”.

Like it or not, we cannot trust the officials we have elected. Because people we should not trust sometimes win political office, that is why we need election systems we trust and a government so limited that the people we elect fear to abuse the rights of the People.

Who are the People? They are your family, your friends, and your neighbors. Please participate in politics like you care about the People.
