The United States isn’t the only place in the world wrestling with transgenderism (TG). A story from Queensland, Australia confirms the Supreme Court there ruled that a 12-year old boy may take puberty-blocking hormones to prevent masculine secondary sex changes. What made the news more shocking is that the consent of his father is not necessary. Dad was overridden by the court! (Queensland Supreme Court usurps parental rights – Binary)
The lad has claimed to be a girl since the age of four, preferring to wear girls’ clothes, especially liking the color pink. What is even more interesting is that this child has autism spectrum disorder “which has been shown to be a common condition in the new trans trend affecting so many young people in western nations.”
Rather than delving into what may underlie this child’s bent toward being female, the judges seemed to have been swayed by the history of his saying he’s a girl and dressing like one, so they ruled in favor of his taking the hormones to block puberty. Not taken into consideration in that decision were the facts that his bone density will be affected and can lead to other health conditions, as well.
The article went on to say that depression and suicidal thoughts are risks of fostering this TG pursuit. They are not likely to improve with transgender treatment if underlying psychological issues are not addressed. So, what the article implies is that TG kids need counseling, not hormones.
As it is, this 12-year old young man will need to continue taking medications the rest of his life to effect and continue his role as a female, perhaps even leading to surgery. All this is experimental at this stage in the trend of transgenderism, so the kids are really experiments and the changes they experience and undertake are irreversible.
Isn’t that why God gave kids two parents in the first place? They’re the ones who ought to be making decisions like hormone treatment or not; children aren’t in a position to make such decisions for themselves. As it stands with the boy in question, his father has no ‘say-so’ about hormones. Our world is really mixed up!

I believe your black and white world view takes a beating on this one Tom.

Black and white world? But no explanation? Just a haughty air of superiority? The mere fact your opinion differs from mine in some vague way is not much of a beating.
