Are you going to vote intelligently and with WISDOM?
Proverbs 15:22 New American Standard Bible
Without consultation, plans are frustrated,
But with many counselors they succeed.
Have you ever heard a candidate for public office say: “I have a plan.” When we vote, we make plans for our own future and our children’s future. To vote intelligently and with WISDOM, we should seek advice. We should learn from people whose counsel we respect what we can about the candidates. We should take advantage of the research and thoughtfulness of others, and we should share what we have learned.
- Voter Guides — The Family Foundation provides a voter guide for the three statewide offices (Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General) and Report Cards — The Family Foundation lists how the incumbents in the Virginia General Assembly voted on issues critical to our families.
- #CatholicsVote 2021 | Virginia Catholic Conference (vacatholic.org) provides voter resources that includes voter guides for each of the statewide offices (Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General) and the procedures required to vote.
- Virginia | iVoterGuide.com, the project of a coalition of Christian organizations (see Our Partners | iVoterGuide.com), provides a Liberal/Conservative rating for each of the candidates with respect to both the statewide races (Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General) and each of the House of Delegate races. Thanks for voting.
Tom,
Great Advice. Sadly, too many voters obtain advice from 30 second TV adds or names on posters instead of reading up the issues and records of the people they vote for.
.
Love your choice of proverb for this issue.
Perhaps in the 2022 election the proverb should be on posters and TV advertisements and if more organizations would query candidates with questions sane as this one,, perhaps more candidates would answer the queries instead of being answerable to only big political fund donors?
Regards and goodwill blogging.
@scatterwisdom
Glad you think that proverb appropriate. Thought of you when I posted it.
We need to actively seek advice. I may wrong, but I think that those who are trying to justify their sins (instead of repenting of them) are more ready to give advice and pressure us to take their advice. So, if we want to get a second or third opinion, we must actively seek it.
